Fourth Annual Butler's Pumpkin Patch

For the fourth time, we made the trek up to Maryland to get pumpkins, eat apple cider donuts and enjoy all the fun fall festivities they had to offer.  The first two trips were with Vic, and all four were with Emily! Here's 2009, 2010 and 2011. And here's cute Emily and Ryan!

The bright, full sun made decent pictures almost impossible (but we got some serious sun flare!)--I'm a little bummed I didn't get many good ones. I tried to edit some of them into normal, but let's be honest, I really have no idea what I'm doing.  Poor Braden was sick and miserable--we think he must be getting some serious teeth and have some tummy troubles to go along with it--because he was not happy about the patch.  He just wanted to be held and wouldn't play at all, which was sad because we have so many sweet memories of all the fun we've had here with Finley!  But look how cuddly!

Finley was pretty hilarious about the pumpkins--he filled two wheelbarrows with all the pumpkins small enough for him to pick up.  He was pretty sure we got to keep all of them.  We eventually talked him into just getting two--and he wanted two white ones.  I told him he could paint his white ones and he got very excited.  He wants to paint them orange--how's that for irony?  PS. Braden hated this part.

Braden really hated all of it, unless he was being tickled, spun around or held.  Poor poor baby.

And here's our attempt at a family photo. Seriously, I don't know what I did to ruin my children, but it would be easier to jump from the edge of space than it is to get a picture of four of us looking at the camera and smiling.  Seriously.

Happy fall!
