Meet Me in St. Louis

That's what Megan and I said to each other, several months ago. And so we did.

Megan and Courtney are two of my very dearest high school friends. Meg and I decided to go surprise Courtney for her 30th birthday, even though the only weekend we could find that worked was technically Megan's 30th birthday. We did lots of celebrating! It was so great to spend time eating, shopping, developing algorithm for evaluating clothing purchases and watching awesome movies (some of which we starred in a decade ago) with these girls.  You know how I said my Justin Bieber rap was the most embarrassing thing I've ever done? Not even close.

I managed to get both friends on Instagram... and they haven't totally bought into it, judging by the complete lack of 'grams that since I forced them to make their first one.  Come on friends! It's 2012! Anyways, these ladies refresh my soul.  We are at the terrible point in our friendships where we've been friends longer than we haven't, and that makes us old. They remind me of the Proverb about iron sharpening iron--we don't let each other get away with much, and I certainly feel sharper after time with them.

PS. Flying without kids? AMAZING.

    2. You went to the Cheesecake Factory to celebrate, didn't you? Funny, we we seem to go there to celebrate the big birthdays! Did you miss me? Did Court get a little funny off of amaretto sours?

    1. We did go to Cheesecake Factory! I couldn't remember the last time I was there--and of course we missed you! I think we've abandoned all attempts to get Courtney drunk...

  2. Nothing new here because I saw two of those pics on instagram (so very 2012) but I want to know a lot more about the photo at the top. Is that Courtney's house? It's pretty!

    1. It is her house! She bought it last year and it's so cute--as expected. I tried to get everyone to hold their favorite thing in Courtney's house for the picture, but no one wanted to but me.

  3. I would also like to know about the top photo - specifically the shirt that Courtney (??) had on. Where is it from? I would like to buy it. And on that note, a little bit of text added to the photos in Photoshop would help people like me know who is Courtney and who is Megan. Just sayin'...

    1. I'll ask her where it's from--she doesn't always read the blog. But you guessed right, the girl with the more fun shirt is Courtney. :) Thanks for the blog tip!

  4. Christina: The whole weekend was amaretto sour free :(

Victoria: Thanks! I like my new house; it's mostly fun (minus things like re-caulking the tub and weatherstripping the doors)

Rachel: I was holding my 2 favorite things in the house at that moment.

Jenn: My shirt is from Banana back in August, and it is one of my favorites!

Rach, again: I do always read your blog, just not always as immediately as some might. And of course I'm wearing a more fun shirt. Totally worth labeling in the photo where it is from.

It was so fun to have you guys here! Come back sooooooooooooooooooooooon!

    1. AWWWWWWWW. I wasn't. I really liked the giraffe. And the cupcakes. JK!

Thanks for always reading my blog and returning my calls, if even if it isn't immediately. :) Meg would never wear that shirt. It isn't solid or striped. ZING!

    3. I consider that a high compliment, since it comes from the reigning queen of Rach's Blog Comments.
